More of Our Pictures from Paris (October 1998).

We planned to take more pictures, but near the end of the week our brand new camera shorted out (probably because of the wet weather).

At the "Temple of Love" on the northern end of the Versailles gardens.

We took a forty-minute regional train to Versailles, which was very beautiful, and very large.

Serena at the front entrance to the Versailles palace.

Here we are at Marie Antoinette's farmhouse.

Mike near the banks of the Seine River, approaching the Notre Dame Cathedral (in the background).

Serena in front of Le Malakoff, a quaint little restaurant in the 14th arrondisement where we had our first Parisian dinner.

We spent an afternoon lounging in the Luxemborg Gardens, located near the Latin quarter in Paris.

Here we are on the platform, about 2/3 of the way up on the Eiffel Tower. As you can see, it was very cloudy that day. But the view was still amazing.

The very impressive (and very gothic) Sacre Coure cathedral.

At the Louvre, in front of the glass pyramid.

Here is Mike getting wet during our walk down the Paris promenade. The promenade is elevated above the surrounding neighborhood, begins near the Opera and Bastille, and ends several miles later close to the Paris canals.

However, no hunchbacks were to be seen in the general area.
